Chat Rules

Modified on Mon, 11 Aug at 6:12 PM

e-Schooling allows the educational institution to configure specific rules for communication between different members of the school community. These rules define who can send messages to whom, ensuring that communication within the system is secure, controlled, and aligned with each school’s reality.

What are Communication Rules?

Communication rules determine:

  • Which user groups can send messages
  • Which user groups can receive messages
  • Whether communication is one-way or two-way

For example, it is possible to allow:

  • Teachers to send messages to students and guardians
  • Guardians to reply to teachers
  • School administrators to communicate with all users

How to configure message sending rules

To configure these rules, go to:

System Settings > Communications > Message Sending Rules

Create a new rule by clicking the “+” button

  • Define the sender group:
Choose the user group that will be allowed to send messages (e.g., Pedagogical Management)

  • Define the recipients:
Select the groups that will be able to receive messages (e.g., Students, Teachers, Administrative Services)

Click Save to confirm the rule

  • Example: Teachers communicate with School Administration, Students, and Student Support

Two-Way Communication

To allow two groups to communicate with each other (e.g., teachers and guardians), you must create two rules:

  • One allowing teachers to send messages to guardians
  • Another allowing guardians to send messages to teachers

Each school can adapt these rules to its own reality and communication policy. Proper configuration ensures effective, secure communication aligned with the institution’s pedagogical goals.
