Curricular Units in the Course

Modified on Tue, 5 Aug at 12:27 PM

In e-Schooling, curricular units (or subjects) are associated with courses to structure students’ learning paths. These units can be created manually or imported from pre-configured templates. This article explains how to add, configure, and organize curricular units within a course.

1.    Accessing the course’s curricular units section

After creating the course, go to the Curricular Units section in the right-hand menu.

2.    Adding curricular unitsConfiguring the curricular unit

a. Create a new curricular unit manually

            Click “Add curricular unit”

Fill in the required fields: Name, Abbreviation, Type of curricular unit

Click “Save” to complete the creation.

b. Import an existing curricular unit from a template

Select the type of curricular unit

            Click “Add existing curricular unit”

Select the subjects previously configured in the system

Click “Save” to associate them with the course

3.    Configuring the curricular unit

When creating or editing a curricular unit, you can define:

Total workload of the subject (e.g., 30 hours)

Type of class (theoretical, practical, online, etc.)

The workload is defined at the course level, as it may vary depending on the education level, even for the same subject.

4. Curricular units in the course (themes or content)

When creating or editing a curricular unit, the “Curricular Units in the Course” section appears on the right side of the interface. This section allows you to add themes, topics, or program content to be covered within the subject.

These items act as subdivisions of the main curricular unit and may represent:

Teaching modules

Specific themes

Content by period

Activities or competencies

To add a new theme:

Click the “+” button

Enter the name of the content or theme

Click “Save”

This feature helps organize the pedagogical plan of the subject and can be used for planning, evaluation, or communication with guardians.
