In e-Schooling, it is possible to create free classes, meaning classes that are not associated with a pre-configured course. These classes are ideal for occasional activities such as workshops, clubs, labs, or other initiatives that do not follow a formal curricular structure. This article explains how to create a free class in a simple and flexible way.
1. Accessing the classes menu
From the main menu, go to:
Management > Classes
2. Creating a new free class
Click the “+” button in the upper right corner.Enable the “Free Class” option.
When this option is enabled, the system hides all fields related to courses and curricular units, allowing for a fully independent configuration.
3. Filling in the class details
After enabling the “Free Class” option, the system automatically adjusts the creation form, hiding all fields related to courses and curricular units. This allows the class to be configured independently, without links to predefined structures.
At this point, you can fill in the following fields:
Class name: e.g., Theater Workshop, Robotics Lab
School calendar: you can associate an existing calendar or leave it blank
Time unit: defines the duration period of the class
- If no calendar is selected, the time unit will be used to manually define the period.
- If a calendar is selected, the class will inherit the settings from the chosen school calendar.
This feature is ideal for short-term activities such as events or specific training sessions.
After filling in the details, click Save. The class will be created immediately, without depending on complex structures like those associated with formal courses.
