This article guides users through the configuration of roles assigned to users within courses and classes, enabling clear management of both pedagogical and administrative responsibilities.
1. Accessing Course Role Settings
In the main menu, go to Settings > Pedagogical > Support Tables > Course Roles, depending on the type of role you want to configure.
1.1 How to Configure Course Roles
a. Click on “+” to add a new role.
b. Enter a custom name for the role (e.g., “English Course Coordinator”).
c. Select the role type (e.g., Course Director).
d. Optionally, assign a badge and a color.
e. Click Save.
A Course Director can access all classes associated with the course, monitor academic progress, and manage administrative aspects. The Schedule Manager can edit and organize class schedules for the course.
2. Accessing Class Role Settings
Class roles allow you to assign specific responsibilities to users directly involved with a class.
a. Click on “+” to add a new role.
b. Enter a custom name for the role (e.g., “1st Cycle Class Director”).
c. Select the role type (e.g., Class Director).
d. Optionally, assign a badge and a color for visual identification.
e. Click Save.
The configuration of roles in e-Schooling enables clear and efficient management of responsibilities within the institution. By assigning roles with specific permissions, each user is granted access only to the features necessary for their role. Customizing roles with badges and colors enhances visual identification and strengthens the school’s internal organization.
