Course Evaluations

Modified on Mon, 11 Aug at 3:09 PM

In e-Schooling, course-related evaluations allow you to define how student performance will be assessed throughout the curricular units. This configuration is essential to ensure that evaluation criteria are aligned with the school’s pedagogical objectives. This article explains how to configure evaluation models within a course.

1.    Accessing the evaluations section

After configuring the curricular units and the course structure, go to:

Management > Courses > Evaluations in the course’s internal menu

2.    Defining evaluation models

In the Evaluations section of the course, you can configure how each curricular unit will be assessed. The system allows switching between two modes:

  • Exam Mode: used for formal assessments such as tests and exams
  • Indicator Mode: used for continuous records such as observations of behavior, participation, or progress

For each subject:

  • Select the desired period and subject
  • Choose the most appropriate evaluation mode
  • Enable or disable the subject as needed
  • If applicable, define the evaluation group and the scale to be used

This configuration ensures that each subject is assessed appropriately according to its pedagogical context, allowing for a more accurate analysis of student performance.

3. Adjusting specific criteria

If needed, you can adjust evaluation criteria directly within the course:

  • Add or remove parameters

  • Change evaluation type or scales

  • Customize descriptions for each criterion

The evaluation settings defined in the course will be automatically applied to all classes created based on that course. This ensures consistency in how students are assessed throughout the school year.
