This section allows the institution to define and categorize the different types of addresses that can be associated with system users — such as students, guardians, teachers, and staff.
1. Accessing the Address Types Table
To configure address types, follow this path:
Settings » System » Support Table » Address Types
2. Adding an Address Type
To add a new address type, click the (+) button and fill in the required fields in the configuration window.
In the configuration window, complete the following fields:
• Abbreviation: A short code or acronym that identifies the address type (e.g., RES for Residence, WRK for Work)
• Name: The full designation of the address type (e.g., Residence, Work)
3. Deleting an Address Type
To delete an existing address type, select the entry and click the trash icon next to the one you want to remove.
Keeping this table up to date ensures clear and consistent classification of addresses in the system. This facilitates data management and improves institutional communication. Maintaining this table is essential for reliable information.
